Why a Fly Shop in Grapevine Texas?
Well probably because I live here but really Because for as long as I can remember I wanted to have a fishing shop. Growing up my best friend Nick and I would talk about how we would open a shop and we would argue over whether it would be N&M or M&N Fishing. That was a long time ago but I guess the seed was planted and never actually died.

One of the reasons I believe that fly fishing suits me so well is I am a restless soul. And that has served me quite well in the good fortune I have had in the places that I have lived and the fishing those places offered me.
I was born in the Bronx New York but by the time I was six my parents God Bless them had purchased a house out on Long Island. And for the next 16 years this was to be my base of operations. Little did I know back then just how fortunate I was.
Long Island in the Sixties was an incredible sportsman’s oasis. We were 62 miles from the city and there was fishing everywhere you turned. As a kid I could ride my bike to either the North shore or the South shore in about an hour. Fresh water fishing was just minutes away. Needless to say I fished constantly during the summer break.
When I turned 16 I got my drivers license and now the world of traveling to destinations was opened up to me. We had fished for Trout on the Island but now we could travel to what to us was the Mecca of trout fishing, the Beaverkill River and all the other rivers and streams of upstate New York.
